Dr. Nick Myers is currently in his twelfth year in education and is completing his sixth year as an elementary school principal. A 2007 ISBE "Those Who Excel" Award winning principal, Nick completed his Bachelors in Education at the University of Nebraska and his Masters in Administration from Northern Illinois University. Myers completed his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Organizational Change four years ago through Roosevelt University. His dissertation topic centered on principal instructional leadership in low-income settings.

Myers is currently in his third year as principal at Anne Fox School in Schaumburg Township School District 54. Fox is a targeted assistance Title I building with an exceptionally diverse student population. In 2006, Fox School became the first No Excuses University outside of the state of California because of the staff’s collective focus on college readiness and incorporation of exceptional systems of student support. Fox School has seen dramatic improvement in student achievement over the past three years moving from 68% of students meeting or exceeding state standards in 2005 to over 89% of students meeting or exceeding standards last school year. Fox School’s story of academic resurgence has been documented in the Chicago Tribune, Daily Herald, and the University of Illinois Alumni Association Magazine. In early February, Fox School was recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education with the 2007 Academic Improvement Award for the significant gains in academic achievement that have taken place on the campus since 2005.
