Jeff King, Damen Lopez, and TurnAround Schools Associates help schools and districts increase the academic achievement of underrepresented students. Our work is founded on the twin beliefs that every child has the right to be prepared to attend college, and that it's the responsibility of adults in the school to develop exceptional systems that make that dream a reality.
We customize on-site training to the needs of schools and districts. We help create an impassioned culture of universal achievement where teachers and administrators believe that every child can be academically proficient, and where these educators then work every day to make that belief a reality.
Our work falls into two broad areas:
- We present leadership workshops for principals and district support administrators that introduce a structured, practical, proven strategy for increasing student achievement.
- We help school staffs and their principals create the following exceptional systems that define the practices of high-performing teachers:
