I currently teach at Rincon Middle School in Escondido Union School District. Both of my children have, or are attending Los Pen, so I completely get what you are doing. As it turns out, my youngest daughter’s current teachers are Mrs. Szentisi and Mr. Sandstrom. I have one comment and one question. For the video presentation for EUSD on Sept. 17, you should have included more testimonials from the students. Ultimately, if you can convince the teachers that the students buy into this, you will get more buy-in from the teachers…specifically those in middle school. Which leads me to my question. I would love to spearhead this school becoming a “No Excuses University”, but would like to see the middle school model. I will aslo be contacting Jeff King about what he is doing at Mission.
