Jeff King and Damen Lopez founded TurnAround Schools in 2006. It is based upon the following 2 principles:

  1. Every child has the right to be prepared to attend college.
  2. It is the responsibility of adults in the school to develop exceptional systems that make that dream a reality.

TurnAround Schools organizes Institutes where practitioners from remarkable schools share how they coax impressive success from at-risk learners. Teachers and leaders leave our Institutes with solid strategies they can put into place the next day, and a hopeful optimism for the potential of each of their students.

Additionally, Jeff King, Damen Lopez, and TurnAround Schools Associates provide direct, personalized, on-site assistance and training for schools and districts.
